About

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy refers to a range of treatments that can help with mental health problems, emotional challenges, and some psychiatric disorders. It aims to provide insight to clients in order to understand their feelings.  It promotes an understanding of what makes them feel positive, anxious, or depressed. This enables clients to learn to cope with difficult situations in a more adaptive way. Our licensed Psychotherapists are committed to bringing high-quality mental health care to your wellness journey.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present in the current moment and be less reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. It’s a quality that every human being already possesses - it’s not something you have to conjure up - you just have to learn how to access it. Our Mindfulness services help you cultivate and practice this powerful innate ability to  harmonize mind, body and soul and unlock your potential for a more peaceful and productive life.

Psychological Testing

Psychological testing refers to the administration of behavioral tests by a licensed psychologist.  Our family licensed psychologist, provides these tests in order to accurately make mental health diagnoses. Psychological and psychoeducational testing are most often used for concerns related to attention, focus, concentration, learning disabilities, IQ, and overall emotional well-being. The tests and assessments are used to gather a behavioral sample and interpreted by a professional to determine an accurate diagnosis.

Educational Testing

Similar to Psychological Testing, Education Testing is performed by a licensed psychologist and includes assessment and evaluation. Education tests can take many forms, but the tests done in A Balanced You Center focus on the signs and symptoms of learning disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder, and other mental health issues that affect learning and education.
